Vincent Lepape


12 born in Rouen France  began his musical studies with Gilbert Moisand.  He continued his studies in Paris with Jaques Mauger.  When Mr. Lepape was 16 years old he entered the Conservatorie National Superieur de Musique et de danse de Paris studying under the tutelage of Giles Millières.  In 1991 he was awarded first prize in trombone and two first prizes in chamber music in the class of Jean Douay.

He continued his studies with Yves Demarles at the Conservatorie National de Musique de Paris and was awarded first prize of excellence in 1992.  He has Participated in numerous master classes with Michel Becquet, Ron Baron, Branimir Slokar, Alain Manfrin, Joseph Alessi and Guy Destanque among others.
He has collaborated with the most important European orchestras including Orchestre National de France, Orchestre de Paris, Opéra de Paris, Opéra de Lyon, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Palau de les Arts, Orchestra of Moscow, Orchestra of Cluj Romania and Orchestre de Monte Carlo.
Since 1994 Mr. Lepape has occupied the position of principal trombone with the Orchestra del Teatro Regio in Turin Italy.  The orchestra was founded by Arturo Toscanini and is currently conducted by Gianadrea Noseda.  Orchestra del Teatro Regio Torino can be heard on the Deustche Grammophon and Chandos recording labels.
Vincent Lepape is also a found member of the “Pentabrass” brass quintet. They have recorded four CD’s and performed more than 300 concerts around the wolrd( South Korea,Usa,Germany, Swizerland, France,Colombia,Spain, Russia).  They have participated in many important events including “European Brass Orchestra” with Mnozil Brass, Spanish Brass, Epsilon, Belgian Brass and Pentabrass chaired by Pierre Boulez.
  He also performed the Italian premiere of the Symphony for trombone and orchestra by Ernest Bloch with Orchestra del Teatro Regio in Turin.
He also enjoys a career as an international soloist and master teacher in places like Brazil, Colombia, Spain, Italy ,Usa, Francea ndBelgium.  He holds teaching positions with the Conservatorio di Musica di Aosta and the Civic School of music in Turin.  Mr. Lepape can also regularly be found on the juries of international competitions. Suona un trombone legend AC420-R and alto trombone 131RI
